Undergraduate degree in business from Drake University and Juris Doctor Degree in Laws from DePaul University. In 1967, started the first national in scope legal research firm called Counsel's Aide which served major law firms and practitioners throughout the country in the preparation of legal briefs and memoranda. Simultaneously taught school during this period with a focus on blending core curriculum with music and relevant legal information for students at a variety of inner-city schools including Audi Home, County Jail, Monte Fiori. In 1980, started The Trade Center, a marketing company that launched a marketing program for the Banking Industry that began at Continental Illinois Bank and spread to over 20 other banks and Savings and Loans. This concept launched a next generation of couponing and partnering in the retail sector. Brought a variation of this program to the supermarket industry in the mid 90's in the form of value-added for 'better shoppers' as part of the Preferred Card Program in the Jewel Chain of the American Stores Group. Common themes in both creating and consulting companies have included value-added creation and higher-level partnering. In 1993 started a unique mentoring program direction at two inner-city high schools called The Omega Project which grew to serve over 1000 children each week at 9 Chicago area high-schools and enjoyed an outstanding reputation.
